Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center to Open in January; Completes Boston’s First Continuum-of-Care Campus

Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, a new 78-bed facility managed by Welch Healthcare & Retirement Group, is slated to open its doors this January.  A state-of-the-art nursing and rehabilitation center located between Commonwealth Avenue and Beacon Street, Brighton House completes an extraordinary resource for Boston residents – a campus for older adults that provides an array of long and short-term care services, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and an assisted living community with affordable housing options for independent living, assisted living and Alzheimer’s care

Brighton House is located at 170 Corey Road in Brighton, on the grounds of Providence House at Corey Park (www.coreypark.com). The campus encompasses the Providence House assisted living community and the Beechwood Program, a center specializing in the care of Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders.  Both of these programs were opened in 2004 and are also managed by Welch Healthcare & Retirement Group.  With the opening of Brighton House, Boston welcomes its first continuum-of-care campus.

Brighton House will offer the following:

• High level medical, rehabilitative, and skilled nursing care for those who do not need the acute care traditionally provided in a hospital setting.
• The entire range of short and long-term services, such as round-the-clock nursing care, physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and nutrition counseling.
   

Like Welch Healthcare’s rehabilitation and nursing centers in Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, Hingham, and Duxbury, Brighton House will emphasize highly individualized, compassionate treatment programs for patients as well as vital support services for families.
