Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Hingham Massachusetts, is 142-bed skilled nursing center offering short-term and long-term care and a specialized dedicated unit for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or a related diagnosis.

Established in 1995, Harbor House employs a staff dedicated to the provision of high quality medical, nursing and rehabilitative care. Harbor House is located in Hingham, off Route 3A near the harbor and downtown shopping. Situated on a quiet residential street, the nursing center opens onto a beautiful, sunny courtyard with a shaded patio. In addition, residents and families can enjoy our pub, library and Island Lounge, which includes a Plasma TV. Harbor House amenities and services are designed to enhance a resident’s stay. They include electric beds, hair salon services, a Men’s Club, a Diner’s Club and Nintiendo Wii Video Games, such as bowling. Intergenerational activities are also provided. Each resident has immediate access to cable TV and private telephone service. 

Harbor House is accredited by The Joint Commission. The center is also Medicaid/Medicare Certified and accepts coverage from many private insurers.

Social services and discharge planning are important elements of the care and services Harbor House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center provides. Social workers help to identify a resident’s psycho-social, mental and emotional needs and then develop individualized plans to meet those needs. They also define additional services and follow-up resources necessary to ensure a smooth transition from the nursing center to home.
