Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center had the distinction of becoming Boston’s first continuum-of-care campus for seniors when it opened in 2006. Conveniently located just minutes from Caritas St. Elizabeth’s and the Longwood medical Area, the 78-bed rehabilitation and nursing center provides subacute, short-term and long-term care. The staff is committed to providing high quality medical, nursing and rehabilitative care to allow every resident to experience the best quality of life while maintaining or regaining function, health and well-being. Brighton House is accredited by the Joint Commission.
Residents and their families enjoy spending time in the center’s bright solariums and sunny activity rooms. Among the center’s amenities are electric beds, flat-screen TVs, and recreational activities and outings. Residents enjoy delicious meals and menu and dining room options. A hair salon for men and women is onsite.
Social services counseling and discharge planning are important elements of the care and services Brighton House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center provides. Social workers help to identify a resident’s psycho-social, mental and emotional needs and then develop individualized plans to meet those needs. Social workers define additional services and follow-up resources necessary to ensure a smooth transition from the nursing center to home.
Brighton House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center skilled nursing services are complimented by Providence House at Corey Park, a senior living community, offering independent and assisted living for individuals 62 and older. The continuum of care campus is completed by the Beechwood Program, which provides housing, care and support services for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders.
