STATEMENT
OF PURPOSE
To provide the
professional staff of The Welch Healthcare network and
the greater professional and lay communities with
continued and timely healthcare information necessary
for enlightenment, and/or, the enhanced performance of
duties. This will be accomplished through conferences,
workshops, seminars, in-service programs, community
education, and printed materials.
GOALS
 Provide
a minimum of two major, interdisciplinary conferences
annually, conducted with special consideration to
administrative, social service, rehabilitation, and
nursing professionals. Conferences will address timely
healthcare issues, drawing from noted and respected
presenters.
Provide
a program of continuous professional development
consisting of seminars and workshops on topical
healthcare issues. An annual, school-year calendar of
offerings will be constructed, and programs presented as
a series.
Provide
collaboration with, and, resources to the training,
in-service education, and staff development system of
the Welch Healthcare network.
Provide
community education programming important and relevant
to greater awareness of health issues and available
support services.
