Eileen Edmundson

Seven months ago, Eileen Edmunson made Allerton House in Hingham her new home, where she enjoys the activities and all her friendly neighbors.

Originally from the small town of Stoneham, it took no time for Eileen to find the same level of comfort in the quaint town of Hingham. Her youngest son Phil, is a Hingham Selectman, and her oldest son Mark, is an English professor at the University of Virginia.

Preferring to keep an active lifestyle, Eileen was involved in the Women’s Auxiliary at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital in Stoneham, and worked in a gift shop. An avid reader, she belonged to a book club in Stoneham and has also recently joined a Hingham book club.

When asked about her new residence at the Allerton House Assisted Living Community in Hingham, she commented, “We have interesting guests here at Allerton House – artists and world travelers visit us, sharing their talents and stories. Last, but not least, the Allerton staff are wonderful - they make me feel comfortable
