Respite Program

Charming, furnished apartments are available for short-term stays at Allerton House at Harbor Park. Guests can reserve apartments for three days to several months, depending on need and availability. A short-term respite stay provides the opportunity for interested, yet hesitant, guests to sample the assisted living lifestyle, without making a long-term commitment. Many permanent residents have made the decision to join our communities full time after a 'trial' respite stay.

The Allerton House Respite Program can be an ideal rehabilitation resource for those looking to return home after hospitalization or a stay in a skilled nursing facility. A respite care plan can incorporate Medicare Part B covered services (i.e., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy) with supportive and personal care services, enabling the respite guest to reach his or her highest level of functioning before returning home. Vacationing family members can have peace of mind knowing that their loved one is safe with us while they are away.
