Respite Program

Charming, furnished apartments are available for short-term stays at Allerton House at Hancock Park. Guests can reserve apartments for one week to one month, depending on need and availability. A short-term respite stay provides the opportunity for interested, yet hesitant, guests to sample the assisted living lifestyle, without making a long-term commitment. Many permanent residents have made the decision to join our communities full time after a 'trial' respite stay.

The Allerton House Respite Program can be an ideal rehabilitave resource for those looking to return home after hospitalization or a stay in a skilled nursing facility. A respite care plan can incorporate Medicare Part B covered services (i.e., Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy) with supportive and personal care services, enabling the respite guest to reach his or her highest level of functioning before returning home.
